Rroma-workers come from all walks of life, be that different nationalities and cultures, ages, genders, ministry focuses, or denominations. But, regardless of their own background, Jesus Christ is the common denominator that unites all RWN workers together (see the RWN Statement of Faith below). Our RWN biennial conferences are a great opportunity for Rroma-workers from all across Romania, to spend a week together in fellowship and away from the day-to-day demands of life and ministry.
As outlined by the RWN mission focus, these conferences are designed to “Encourage, equip and empower Rroma-workers to reach Rroma people and communities with the gospel.”
Encourage: We want to see workers being strengthened and refreshed in their own faith, and walking closely with fellow workers for encouragment, support and accountability. By re-filling their own spiritual jars, workers can continue to pour into the lives of their families, friends, and the Rroma people and communities they are investing in. At these conferences, workers will be spiritually and personally fed through times of worship and devotions, and through workshops on topics like how to ensure they can endure long-term ministry.
Equip: We want to see workers being equipped with knowledge, skills, and resources to serve the Rroma people in a Christ honouring and culturally appropriate way. Workers are equipped as they receive training on topics relevant to the Rroma context, including Rroma epistomology, worldview, culture and traditions, church planting, and obstacles in working with Rroma. Workers are also equipped through workshops and discussions on current affair topics, such prevention and education in Human Trafficking and Small Business Initiatives.
Empower: We want to see workers being empowered so that they in turn can invest in each other, and in the lives of their families, churches, and the Rroma people they work alongside. We want to ensure that workers are able to thrive as they invest in the next generation of leaders for a long-term and unified impact for the gospel.
If you know of a Christian individual or an oganisation who works with Rroma people and communities in Romania, who is not already part of the RWN, please ask them to create a profile using the new worker profile registration on this website. Once accepted, they will be able to see the details about any upcoming conferences or events.
If they do not have sufficient internet access, please contact us so we can make sure they receive notification of any conferences or events.
